Embattled Reggae icon Buju Banton is again in the running for a Grammy Award as the nominees for the 2011 (53rd) Grammy Awards were announced last night. He was nominated for his album "Before The Dawn" which was completed while he was in jail awaiting trial for drug trafficking.
The complete list of nominees for the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category are:

* Gregory Isaacs & King Isaac – Isaacs Meets Isaac
* Lee “Scratch” Perry – Revelation
* Bob Sinclair And Sly & Robbie – Made In Jamaica
* Sly & Robbie & The Taxi Gang – One Pop Reggae
* Andrew Tosh – Legacy: An Acoustic Tribute To Peter Tosh
A surprising omission from this year's nominees is Gyptian whose “Hold You” album hit charts globally with the lead single charting on Billboard's Hot 100, R&B/Hip-Hop and Heatseekers Songs Charts. The 53rd annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS on February 13, 2011, starting at 8 p.m EST.
