Alborosie Unleashes New Video Featuring Junior Reid

Alborosie unleashes his brand new video "Respect" ft Junior Reid off 2 Times Revolution (Greensleeves), the recent album from the Italian-born, Jamaican-based multi-faceted musician. The 33-year-old Sicilian with waist-long dreadlocks - who Wiz Khalifa goes to for reggae samples ("Still Blazin") and Pitchfork once claimed was the best artist of the year for reggae/dancehall, stating "say what you want about white reggae-- you'll only need to hear him once to eat your words," - had a very clear vision in mind for this song and video. “I love myself and I respect myself. I also love people and I respect them too. That is the root of my message and so that is what I push in my music all the while,” he notes.

Jazz Musician Kenny Love's CD Is cAsE sEnSiTiVe

Kenny Love, who after having an independent music career, spent a subsequent twenty-year period as a radio/video promoter and media publicist representing fellow musicians, has now returned to his creative Jazz artistry and released cAsE sEnSiTiVe.  cAsE sEnSiTiVe is a 10-song experience that engages the listener through musical peaks, lyrical valleys, and poetic arrangements.  Opening with a driving upbeat selection titled Glide, the release has been entered into the International Music Awards.  It will also be entered in seven categories of the Grammy Awards this August, including a category specific to the compact disc's humorous and visually arresting front cover.

Grammy-award winning, multi-platinum reggae star Shaggy is back with SUMMER IN KINGSTON, out July 19, 2011. The lead single "Sugarcane" has already impacted the reggae world and has been in the Top 10 on the iTunes reggae chart for weeks. Shaggy has three (3) songs there, including his smash hits "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel," which are mainstays on the chart.

As a summer time special, SUMMER IN KINGSTON will be available at all digital retailers for USD $2.99 for a limited time. In addition, Shaggy will perform "Sugarcane" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 15. The show airs at 11:30pm EST on NBC. He will perform again on July 26 on Lopez Tonight, which airs at 12:00am EST on TBS.

New York's biggest summer show has yet taken another turn, and added a new layer to this musical feast. "Best Of Both World/Reggae meets Hip Hop "I-Octane - JadaKiss and Friends" has added Opera to the stage with Marie Claire! When asked to describe her musical style, Marie Claire responded "It's almost as if reggae and hip-hop had a threesome with opera.”
