Mission Catwalk Season Three Premiere - Saturday April 13

Season three of Mission Catwalk has attracted some of the best emerging talent the Caribbean region has to offer. The show has expanded to include designers from St. Lucia, St, Vincent, Antigua, Haiti and Bahamas, who will now join the likes of Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana in TV’s hottest design challenge. This year’s rivalry will redefine the term ‘fierce’. The audience is in for an entertaining season as these designers stitch their way to victory.

JN To Host Debt Exchange Forum In Florida, USA

The Florida Representative Office of the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS), in the United States of America (USA), will host a special forum on the recently concluded Government of Jamaica National Debt Exchange (NDX) programme, and its impact on the local financial community, for members of the Society in South Florida.
The main presenter will be Earl Jarrett, General Manager of the JNBS, who will speak to, “The NDX and its Impact,” at the Sheraton Suites in Plantation, Florida, on Saturday, April 20, starting at 5.30 pm.

Jamaica National Supports Primary and All-Age Cricket Competition

For the fourth consecutive year, Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) will be the lead sponsor of the JN Primary and All-Age Cricket Competition, renewing its partnership with the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) for the 20th staging of the matches.
The competition, which is celebrating two decades of cricket development, was launched at the Clubhouse, Sabina Park in Kingston, on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. More than 350 schools will participate in this year’s matches, for a chance to win the Courtney Walsh and Collie Smith Shields.

Appointments of PIOJ And Statin Heads

The Ministry of Finance and Planning wishes to announce the appointments of Mr. Colin Bullock as the new Director General, PIanning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ); Miss Carol Coy, the new Director General, Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) and Mr. Everton McFarlane who will be assigned to the Ministry of Finance and Planning. Mr. Colin Bullock, currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Department of Economics, was a former Financial Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Planning (May 2, 2005 – 2008) and also served as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Jamaica. He is a member of Dr. the Honourable Peter Phillips' Economic Advisory Council. Mr. Bullock will assume duties on April 15, 2013.
