If there was ever doubt about savings from solar energy for businesses and home-owners, it was put to rest today by the Hon. Philip Paulwell, Minister of Science, Technology, Energy & Mining. He told visitors to the DBJ GreenBiz Energy Fair at Emancipation Park that his home electricity bill declined from $30,000 monthly to just $1,661 for his latest bill since installing a solar system.
“This thing makes C-E-N-T-S, and a lot of it” Mr. Paulwell said, while encouraging Jamaicans to visit the fair and take advantage of the low rates offered on loans for energy efficiency projects by the Development Bank of Jamaica and the National Housing Trust.
