Ministry of Agriculture to Intensify 'Eat What You Grow' Campaign

Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Dr. Christopher Tufton says the Ministry intends to introduce locally- produced natural juices as part of the thrust to intensify the 'Eat What You Grow, Grow what You Eat' campaign.

This he says is in order to create better, and more aggressive awareness of the need for Jamaicans to support local farming, and production.

Digicel Files Multi-Million US Dollar Claim Against C&W/LIME

Digicel Jamaica has today filed an Arbitration claim against C&W/LIME in relation to significant amounts of unpaid interconnection fees.   This Arbitration claim has been filed by Digicel with the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”) in Paris.

Digicel’s claim is for unpaid interconnection fees due and owing to Digicel by C&W/LIME arising from C&W/LIME’s unilateral decision to reduce the contractually agreed interconnect fees payable to Digicel.

JTI's Trade and Investment Seminar Draws Interest from Germany

The Jamaica Trade and Invest (JTI) has reported that its first trade and investment seminar in Germany is already receiving expressions of interest in the island's maritime and renewable energy sectors.

In addition, the JTI European Regional Manager, Mr. Laurence Jones, said that there is also strong interest from German firms in the planned inward investment mission to Jamaica, set for mid November.
