The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) launched its new travel agent specialist program, A One Love Rewards Program, last month and already the rewards are stacking up for top performing agents. Travel agent Dennis Quirie of DestinationWeddings.com has won the top booking agent award for the month of February 2012, earning him $300. DestinationWeddings.com is a full service one-stop-shop for the seamless planning and coordination of destination weddings. DestinationWeddings.com was named the Top Producing Agency In The World by Travel Impressions in 2010. The agency’s certified destination wedding specialists have planned over 13,000 successful destination weddings.
In addition to Quirie, Sherry Beck of Travel Leaders has won an all-expense-paid vacation for two to Jamaica with accommodations at the stunning ClubHotel Riu Negril, courtesy of the resort and the Jamaica Tourist Board. Additionally, 23 agents who graduated in February, completing five or more bookings received a special gift from the destination.
The Jamaica A One Love Rewards Program launched last month with 1,674 travel agents completing the course to date. This special rewards program serves as a dedicated training platform for the travel agent community to become experts on the destination. In addition to learning about the island, travel agents can earn valuable rewards points as they complete the curriculum.
The JTB is offering a range of benefits to graduates including a monthly award of $300 to the top-booking Jamaica agent completing 10 or more bookings, a downloadable graduate diploma from Travel Agent University, on island VIP service for A One Love Rewards Program members, a preferred agent listing on the official VisitJamaica.com website, exclusive consultations with JTB Business Development Managers, VIP familiarization tours, and an A One Love Rewards Program branded gift after the first five bookings.
Additionally, graduates of the program can look forward to the annual white-affair in Jamaica, honoring the top 100 Jamaica-sellers at the end of the year. Agents will also receive Jamaica’s monthly e-newsletter, which lists deals from across the island for clients to consider.
